We just celebrated the 249th birthday of the United States of America. We often take July 4th for granted, focusing on the day off from our jobs, barbecues, and fireworks. We should never forget what our country was founded on, especially the Bill of Rights, which was created to keep the federal government from infringing on individual liberties. At this time in our country and specifically Arizona, the First Amendment is being tested.

Later this month, a hearing is scheduled in Maricopa Superior Court in regards to dismissing charges against us and three other individuals as we defend our First Amendment rights. The lawsuit stems from this post written last summer, and since December we have been involved in court proceedings, bouncing the ball back and forth between the plaintiff and defendants. The LGBTQ Industry’s best tactic when citizens defend children is to use the court system to stop us. Lawyers are expensive and the process is time-consuming. In our particular case, the LGBTQ Industry was very sly: Sue multiple individuals, involve multiple lawyers, and the costs skyrocket as our team collaborates with each other in response to the plaintiff’s complaints.
One individual, Chris Hamlet, is being sued for public comment at a Mesa District school board meeting and for posting his opinion on social media. Think about that. A father addressed a government entity with grievances and he is slapped with a lawsuit. What will the next lawsuit be and who will be sued? Could it be Christians for posting Bible verses? Or Prolifers praying on a sidewalk in front of Planned Parenthood? How about those who hold protests against the government, any level of government? We just witnessed No Kings Protests, should those individuals be sued?
While we await the oral arguments and the judge’s subsequent ruling, our attorneys are preparing. The costs have been increasing, so once again two of us are asking for your help:
- Please pray for our attorneys and their staffs as they defend the First Amendment. Pray their thoughts are clear and protect them, their families, and staffs.
- Share the GiveSendGo links below. Many hands make light work.
- Many of you have already generously donated. We do not ask any more of you. There are others who are just learning about this case who may be interested, so please share our story and our links.
- Do not be afraid to speak up. School will be starting soon in many districts; this is the time to pay attention and get involved. Just because many recent Supreme Court rulings have been positive for children and the culture it does not mean our work is done.

Neither of us make a dime on our advocacy, In fact, it costs money to keep this site up and some districts charge for public records.
For those of you who are believers, think back to Genesis and the Garden of Eden. Eve gets much of the blame, but who left the Garden unattended so the serpent could enter? It was Adam. We need more men to return to their roles of leadership in their families.
If you are reading this and are Christian, yes, Jesus has called you to tend His garden. It is not the job of your pastor or your president to show up to school board meetings, write op-eds, educate your circle of friends, or file complaints with the district or Arizona Department of Education when something is not right. It is your responsibility. You may be the person who will bring a message of hope to someone who needs it. Again, many hands make light work. Your children are watching. Thank you for all you have done and will do to protect children.
