GOP Political Consultants Can Relax: Abortion is Now Ignored in Arizona

Everything has worked out splendidly for the Republican Party and its best grifters. As we have been reminded for decades, the GOP really never wanted to deal with abortion. Tepid responses to child sacrifice became the norm. For many running as Republicans, they publicly declared themselves prolife, but when the rubber met the road as elected officials, too many in office backed off from their public stance, quietly making excuses to support abortion because their next election was more important. Lobbyists, donors, and compromised advisors had their ears; after all, an unborn baby can’t vote for them or write them a hefty check for reelection.

We are hearing cries to “Defund Planned Parenthood” again. It could have been done during President Trump’s first term, but Catholic Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, after toying with the idea, backed away. We were handed a victory two years ago as Roe vs. Wade was overturned, but instead three weak Republican legislators in Arizona voted with the Democrats for abortion through 15 weeks, which at the time was about 92% of abortions in Arizona. Good thing they saved 8%, evidently saving 100% of the unborn was just too many.

Nationally we are now inundated with news of bombings in various countries, disputes between foreign governments, debate over the sale of federal lands, and federal investigations that result in nothing except soundbites for the next campaign. Locally, we just witnessed our own Game 7 between the Arizona House and the Arizona Senate. Both are majority Republican, but that is okay. It is a distraction from an unpopular vote residents of Scottsdale didn’t like, “affordable” housing debates, stolen valor, funding for schools, and on and on. Even in Arizona, these arguments keep constituents occupied with enough squabbles we many not notice what is going on in our local abortion mills.

Don’t think infanticide won’t happen in the United States. In Arizona we can now kill a child until birth, so what difference does a couple minutes make? Why would politicians suddenly care about children? So far they are very quiet about turning the bathrooms in our homes into abortion centers. Just go to the closest Planned Parenthood who will prescribe a few pills and poof, a woman’s problems are gone, down the toilet! Or are they?

Eventually, the mother will have to face the consequences of what she lost. Those emotions may surface quickly or decades later, but they will surface. However, there are immediate medical consequences which are coming to light in Arizona, specifically at the Tempe Planned Parenthood. In February of this year, the New York Times wrote an extensive article about the crisis within the Planned Parenthood organization itself. Here is an overview from the article which featured a former Tempe Planned Parenthood director.

“Poor patient experience”?

American Life League posted the salaries of the 2022-2023 Planned Parenthood CEOs. Most of the salaries are $200,000+, with many well over a half million dollars/year. How does this poor service happen at a place of business where those in charge are paid so well? We are told we would have better teachers and better legislators if they are simply paid more. Why doesn’t the same argument apply to Planned Parenthood?

Over 10 years ago, a law was passed in Arizona which allows suprise inspections of abortion clinics. The history of the bill and specifics can be read here. Look who opposed the bill, according to the article by Catholic News Agency.

Why were abortion mills regarded as a special class of medical facilities before this law was passed?

The Arizona Legislature just passed another bloated budget which should keep the Department of Health Services up and running. Maybe the agency can address some of the accusations in the New York Times piece.

Like the testimony from Deanna Evans of the Tempe Planned Parenthood, the best source of information about what goes on inside an abortion clinic comes from those who have escaped. Abby Johnson has spent the last 15 years telling her story of her years working inside a Texas Planned Parenthood. Since she left the organization, she has started a ministry called “And Then There Were None” which assists current abortion workers who want to leave the industry. ATTWN hosted a recent podcast called “Exodus” and Johnson made some surprising accusations.

Watch the minor kerfuffle when a reporter from The Gateway Pundit interviewed some nice women from Planned Parenthood. Evidently they said too much.

Back to those little pills that are so easily attainable through a visit to Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics, and also now by mail, here is the fallout.

The Federalist has written an article about the medical consequences of these drugs, which are now taken in the woman’s very own home, her own abortion clinic. Ethics and Public Policy has also written a piece about the concerns with the magic abortion pills.

So where are we in Arizona? Besides the Republicans yanking defeat from victory, the usual suspects running as Democrats continue to push abortion, whether surgical or via a few pills, on children. It is common knowledge any Democrat running for office will have to toe the line on abortion. Where we need to pay more attention is the school board. The friendly neighbor down the street who brings brownies to the block party can run in the non-partisan school board race, smile at the kids, defend teachers and public schools, while accepting help from the district’s Education Association, a loose term for union. Once that Association gets the nice neighbor enough signatures to get on the ballot and assists with campaign events, the nice neighbor must toe the line on LGBTQ and abortion support. This includes supporting sexual access to minors by voting for curriculum, clubs, books, and professional development materials which may expose children to obscene material or sexual material they are not ready for. Planned Parenthood will be there for the kids, whether it is access to abortion pills or transgender pharmaceuticals.

It is twisted that so many in office do not protect children, and their actions may lead many of Arizona’s kids to Planned Parenthood and other abortion facilities, possibly putting them in medical danger.

As a state, we reap what we sow.
