Several years ago, Arizona List, a local lobbying group which endorses female candidates who support abortion, produced a fundraising/recognition video. The video featured many women who have won or were campaigning for office at that time, from school board to state level. There are several intersting clips, especially now that about four years have passed. (The entire video can be seen here).
The following office holder has been in the news lately. Jessica Bueno recently resigned from her position on Phoenix Elementary School District’s governing board. Court records show she bailed a man out of jail in 2024 who was accused of, and later found guilty of, having sex with a 14-year old. Phoenix New Times covered the situation here. (The audio in the clip below is not Ms. Bueno’s voice).
Another featured school board member was Mesa Unified’s Kiana Sears. Ms. Sears did not run for another term after this video, but her time in Mesa is telling. She was on the board when the district allegedly socially transitioned some students without parental knowledge. An recent op-ed in AZ Free News contains additional information from a public records request. Recently Ms. Sears was appointed to the Arizona Legislature to represent LD 9 in Mesa.
We have written about Mesa School District many times. There is no better district for the abortion lobby to court than “the largest school district in Arizona” as Ms. Sears mentioned. Arizona List also featured a photo of Marcie Hutchinson, past president of the governing board and also in office during the alleged secret social transitioning of students. Mrs. Hutchinson still serves on the Mesa Unified Governing Board.

Naketa Ross was a member of Phoenix Union High School’s governing board until she resigned in March. She spilled the beans, look where Arizona List filmed some of their video.
Imagine if a pregnancy center used a publicly funded school campus for a promotional video.
Ms. Ross had more to brag about.
The above statement about “prioritizing health and safety of the community” hasn’t aged well. Since muzzling children, our country has seen a decline in social skills and an increase in emotional problems. Just this week, some numbers came out about the effects of the abortion pill, which is the most common way to abort a baby now. A study was done on over 850,000 women and about one in ten suffered adverse events. Isn’t that nice? Arizona List and its female candidates participated in a video to push abortion-minded candidates, used a school campus, and then told viewers their candidates support health and safety for women. Meanwhile, roughly 2/3 of abortion in the United States are achieved using pills, at home and alone, with no medical or emotional support.
And there is more from Ms. Ross. Simply put, abortion-loving women on school boards double as activists for Democrat policies and sources for sex education. Notice academics is not a priority.
Mesa’s Kiana Sears knows affecting “education” is the prize when influencing politics.
There are numerous questions about how the use of a public school campus to advertise for abortion came about. Was Phoenix Union High School District aware? If so, did they offer the high school for use? Did they charge Arizona List for their use of Central High? (Central High is across the street from Phoenix Union’s administration building, referencing Ms. Ross’s statement about her location). Can public schools be used to influence elections? It doesn’t appear so based on Arizona State Statute 15-511.

According to the next video, long-term Phoenix Union Board Member Stephanie Parra was recognized for her achievements. She is followed by former Superintendent of Public Instruction, Kathy Hoffman, known for her Q Chat links which lured minors to discuss their sexuality with strangers.
It looks like Ms. Parra also was recorded at the high school across the street from the administration building. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Union Governing Board appears to have ignored other concerns on their campuses. Just last week, the Arizona Department of Education held a press conference which featured several Phoenix Union educators pleading for more school resource officers on campus.
It is ironic abortion promoters have a place on Phoenix Union campuses, but not personnel to protect students and teachers.
To add to the irony, Arizona List, which endorses pro-abortion women, promotes this politician.
The next post does not reference a school board member, but features an Arizona State Senator who is endorsed by Arizona List.

Arizona Senator Priya Sundareshan has quite a resume. She says she believes in “science-based decision-making in politics”. Will she abort her relationship with Planned Parenthood and Arizona List due to the disastrous results presented in the abortion pill study?
The next clip from the Arizona List video is a statement from the president of the National Organization of Women.
Christian Nunes lists the many political issues and offices in which NOW is working with Arizona List. Knowing this, how does Arizona Statute 15-511 apply? Will there be an investigation? Does the Arizona Republican Party care? School board elections are won by Democrats more often than not. When will all the “conservative” organizations which have descended upon Arizona put their efforts towards results which really matter? Liberals have demonstrated school board races are the most important office; they know where change is made. Fancy events and fundraising opportunities for those at the top of Republican organizations are not translating to wins when children are in play. It doesn’t take piles of money to think creatively, and it costs only some gas in the tank to show up at school board meetings, participate in public comment, and be the voice for innocent children. The focus on federal and state level races is failing where it really matters. This is especially concerning when children are only important during campaign season. It is one thing to praise family values and another thing to live them.
How much longer will Arizonans let abortion-minded women lead our children and families into their darkness? Will we be the light, or will we assist the abortion industry by continuing with pep rallies, paid influencers tweeting like mockingbirds, and ignoring children and their parents? Will the “conservative” gatekeepers continue to allow the other side to control the narrative and the culture? If we allow the status quo to continue, we are also active participants in abortion.
